Colorado Field Ornithologists (CFO) is a non-profit, volunteer organization devoted to the study, conservation, and enjoyment of Colorado's birds. We are looking for bird enthusiasts just like you!
We are a statewide organization open to anyone interested in birds, including recreational birders and professional ornithologists. The diversity of our members' interests creates a dynamic organization and offers learning opportunities for all.
The CFO 2013 Annual Convention will be held in May 16-19, 2013 in under–birded and off–the–beaten–path Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado. Our convention will be based in Cortez - the county seat. The Montezuma area provides a wide diversity of bird habitat types — desert scrubland, reservoirs, canyon creek riparian, pinion–juniper woodland, lush coniferous mountain forest — and we will be looking for birds associated with those habitats.
The 2013 online registration is now closed. » read more
